Lacquered Yuzen Paper has a distinctive embossed texture not found in ordinary Yuzen or Chiyogami paper. The embossed finish resembles the look of traditional Japanese lacquer-ware pieces. Each layer of color is hand-silkscreened onto a high-content Kozo base and then coated in wax. This multi-step process creates an extremely strong, durable and flexible sheet of paper. The lacquered chiyogami is ideal for bookmaking, origami and any paper craft requiring a sturdy paper with a glossy, embossed finish.
