Marbled Lokta Paper
Hand-Made, Acid-Free, Marbled Nepalese Lokta Paper
Lokta Paper is a strong, durable and eco-friendly paper handmade from the fiber of the "Nepal Paper Plant," also called the Daphne Shrub or Lokta Bush, found along the southern slopes of the Himalayas. The Lokta Bush is renewable and fast-growing, completely regenerating in 4 to 6 years after being cut to about 6" from the ground. The cultivation of this eco-friendly resource provides a reliable revenue stream for the village artisans of Nepal's rural and urban areas.
This paper features long and flexible fiber inclusions that are subtle to the eye and add natural beauty to a variety of creative projects.
Marbled Lokta Papers offer vibrant color with intricate detail, inspired by veins of texture in granite and stone. Elegant marbled patterns feature a rich, solid-color base with bands of metallic gold and silver flowing across each sheet for one-of-a-kind designs. These handmade and hand-marbled papers make a great addition to all art and design applications.
