Utilizing a time-honored crinkling technique, Japanese Momi Washi Paper features a rough, evenly textured surface. The creased texture of the paper is formed by crinkling the paper during the manufacturing process which also provides a soft, fabric-like feel to the paper. Using this authentic Japanese paper, you can add depth, texture and shadows to projects like collage, mixed media and sculpture.
Japanese Momi Paper uses a high-content kozo pulp for a durable, acid-free paper weighing 90 gsm. The face of the sheet is dyed providing a neutral, medium brown color leaving the reverse a natural white shade. The momi texture is even and uniform across the surface of the page.
