Japanese Tatami Paper

The Tatami Washi Paper is a natural-colored washi paper machine made in Japan using a kozo/mulberry and sulfite pulp blend. It features and smooth finish on the face (slight tooth on the reverse) with rush straw fibers scattered and embedded throughout the sheet. It weighs 50 GSM, is pH neutral, and is printable.

Description

Japanese Tatami Paper is a great option for a variety of applications including printmaking, bookbinding, silkscreen, and oil and water-based painting. It is made from a blend of sulfite and mulberry kozo fibers and has natural straw inclusions mixed across the surface. The Tatami paper has a natural smooth finish on one side with a slight texture or tooth on the reverse. This paper weighs 50 grams per square meter and is compatible with most printers.
