Light as a feather, this tissue weight paper is stronger than it appears. Japanese Ethereal Paper is soft and luxurious: more like fabric than paper. Ethereal paper is extremely translucent, while Tarasen is slightly more opaque in areas but translucent in others. This makes these papers a great option as an overlay and for projects using background light such as lampshades and screens. Like all Japanese washi, the Ethereal and Tarasen decorative papers are incredibly strong due to the long fiber strands throughout.
